Moonrise Film Company is a film production company founded by Robyn Misha in 2023. Robyn is from a town called Ashton-Under-Lyne, in a borough of Greater Manchester, and studied for a Bachelor of Arts in Media and Performance at the University of Salford. Moonrise Film Company was founded to tell untold stories; the stories of minority groups, biographical media, and stories we feel will have a significant social impact on those who watch it. We are a company dedicated to creating socially impactful media and supporting artists from lower economic and minority backgrounds.

Our films are designed to start conversations on often untold and taboo themes. Since founding Moonrise Film Company, we have developed a feature film that highlights the struggles of a young woman impacted by the chronic health condition fibromyalgia, which the director of the company Robyn Misha also deals with. We also offer videography and photography at a lower cost than industry standard, often working with charities and organisations for free, to allow those with less disposable income to interact with the arts and create lifelong memories.

Moonrise Productions is split into two factions: videography and filmmaking.

Moonrise is a company that works with freelance workers in the film industry to bring our clients complete satisfaction.

The company was founded in 2024 by Robyn Misha and Xander Toner, two students from Salford University and the Manchester Film School.

Moonrise was founded with the creation of our first feature film Firewood, which started preproduction in 2023.
